Replacement of three stairs: two exterior fire escape stairs at the end of each dormitory wing and one exterior stair to the mechanical room. A pre-construction phase is included for submittals, material ordering, and delivery. All materials must be on-site or available at the start of construction. The contractor shall provide a temporary stair out of each dormitory between demolition of the existing stair and installation of the new stair. All personnel on the project site must pass background checks before being allowed to work within the facility. Contractors and subcontractors must adhere to the Department of Corrections rules for construction.
