The project includes removal and stockpiling of existing pavement; and removal and proper disposal, or abandonment in place, of existing utilities throughout the project limits. Specific line items include removal of concrete pavement (68,000 SY), asphalt pavement (5,900 SY), sidewalk (13,800 SY), tunnel demolition (complete and partial), abandonment of water main, sanitary sewer, fuel oil line, and gas main in place, and removal of various manholes, inlets, and storm sewer. There are also bid alternates for crushing existing concrete, asphalt, and sidewalk material on-site.
