The contractor shall remove existing hot-mix asphalt surface (2 inches and 8 inches in depth), place polymerized hot-mix asphalt binder and surface courses, apply bituminous tack coat, seal longitudinal joints, patch distressed pavement sections (Classes B Types II–IV), apply shoulder rumble strips, install and remove pavement markings (preformed plastic and modified urethane types with grooving), place raised reflective pavement markers, install guardrail and barrier wall reflectors, provide temporary concrete barriers, short-term pavement markings and marking removal, traffic control and protection (including changeable message signs, nighttime work zone lighting, and real-time traffic control sensors), smart traffic monitoring, width restriction and alternate route signing, delineators, impact attenuators, and aggregate wedge shoulders. The work includes mobilization, an Engineer's Field Office (Type A), and trainee labor.
