The Georgia World Congress Center Authority ("Authority') will receive responses from firms specializing in LANDSCAPE SERVICES for the Savannah Convention Center. The Authority retains the right to reject any or all submittals, and to waive technicalities, irregularities, and informalities, or cancel this procurement at any time. IMPORTANT- A RESTRICTION OF COMMUNICATION IS IN EFFECT FOR THIS PROJECT. From the time of advertisement of this solicitation until final award is made, interested firms are not allowed or permitted to communicate about this solicitation or scope with any staff or any official representatives of the Authority, GWCC, or other facilities of the Authority, or their consultants, except for submission of questions as instructed in the RFP, or as provided by any existing work agreement(s). Finalists and Apparent Awardee(s) are restricted from making public statements or press releases about their selection as finalists or their apparent award. SECTION I
PROCUREMENT OBJECTIVE
The contractor will provide landscape maintenance including mowing, watering, fertilizing, weeding, spraying, policing, edging, mulching, irrigation and pruning across campus grounds including three sixth floor terrace areas, with weekly mowing during the growing season, re-mulching two to four inches at least twice per year, aerification, overseeding, tree and shrub pruning, weed, pesticide, fungicide and fertilization programs, operation, monitoring and winterization of irrigation systems, weekly inspection of mulched and granite areas, debris cleanup with daily trash pickup Monday through Friday, monthly inspections with service reports, annual October soil samples and June turf tissue samples to the University of Georgia Ag Services Lab, staffing of a weekly crew plus one experienced gardener with vehicle on site five days per week for a minimum of 40 hours, and monthly site visits; seasonal color enhancements, mulch installation, bush-hogging and other additional services will be quoted and approved separately.
