INVITATION TO BID
RE: Two (2) New 5500 Series 4x2 WD crew cab / long wheelbase w/flatbed
COLQUITT COUNTY is accepting sealed bids for (2) two new 5500 series crew cab 4x2 long
wheelbase flatbed truck for use by the Road and Bridge Department. The specifications are
included in this packet.
The bid packet is available at the Purchasing Office at the Colquitt County Annex, 101 East Central
Ave, room 206 or can be accessed on the Colquitt County web site at
www.colquittcountyga.gov/departments/purchasing and refer to the Bid and RFP List to download
this packet.
Sealed bids will be accepted in the office of the County Purchasing Department, located in the
Colquitt County Court House Annex, 101 East Central Avenue, Suite 206, Moultrie, Georgia 31768,
(P. O. Box 517, Moultrie, Georgia 31776-0517) until Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 10:10 a.m.
at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be in a sealed envelope
plainly marked in the lower left-hand corner “SEALED BID FLATBED TRUCK.” It is the
bidder’s responsibility to have all bids turned in by the called time. No bids will be accepted after
the called time. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the called time. The
Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any and
all formalities.
The bidder must supply two new 2026 or newer model 5500 series 4x2 wheel drive crew cab DRW long wheelbase trucks with flatbed, meeting detailed specifications including a turbo diesel engine, 6-speed auto transmission, 43,000 lbs GCWR minimum, power steering, power brakes, factory AC, cruise control, backup camera, flatbed with steel diamond plated floor, headache rack, under-mount toolboxes, LED work lights, gooseneck hitch, rear trailer hitch, and other listed equipment. The trucks must be delivered to Colquitt County.
