REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
CUSTOM BUILT AMBULANCE
INTRODUCTION
Tift County, Georgia (the “County”) and Tift County Fire/Rescue (“EMS Division”) are soliciting proposals for a
Custom Built Type I Ambulance, meeting the specifications outlined in this RFP. All equipment shall be new and
of current design and manufacture. Used or refurbished equipment is unacceptable. The county’s overall goal in
soliciting these proposals is to identify the most responsible and capable vendor that meets the requirements
indicated in this proposal request at a reasonable cost.
PROPOSAL INFORMATION
All proposals must be properly signed, sealed, and submitted with original and two (2) copies in a sealed
envelope to be contained inside of an exterior envelope addressed to Tift County Board of Commissioners, 225
North Tift Avenue, Tifton, Georgia 31794, Attn: County Clerk, and received no later than 10:00 A.M. on Friday,
August 28, 2026. Proposals received after said time will not be accepted. At the discretion of the County, and in
conformity with the applicable provisions of Georgia Law, the County may afford proposers an opportunity for
subsequent discussion, negotiation, and revision of Proposals. The County reserves the right to reject any or all
Proposals and to waive any technicalities or informalities.

The bidder must furnish a Custom Built Type I Ambulance on a 2027 or current model FORD F-450 chassis, including a 14' module with side-door-forward configuration, full emergency warning package, 360° camera system, Onan 5.5 kW generator, Stryker Power Load cot system, and various interior and exterior compartments. The ambulance must meet CAAS standards and include painting, striping, and lettering as specified. The bidder must also provide warranty terms, service capability within 24 hours, and delivery to Tift County at 316 West 2nd St., Tifton, GA 31794.
