This is an invitation to submit a bid to the City of Calhoun for the 2026 Curtis Parkway and Dews Pond Road
Phases I & II Project (including Curtis Parkway and Dews Pond Road Roundabout and Extension of the
Queuing Lane on Curtis Parkway) as indicated herein. Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City
Administrator (in the City of Calhoun City Hall Building at the above address) up to August 24t, 2026 at 12:00PM.
After bids are received, they will be opened and publicly read at August 24th, 2026 at 12:00 PM.
The work includes construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Curtis Parkway and Dews Pond Road and extension of the queuing lane on Curtis Parkway, including associated roadway improvements. Work includes utility adjustment coordination, grading, clearing and grubbing, installation of storm drainage systems, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt base and surface courses, and pavement markings. The project also includes general requirements such as traffic control, erosion and sediment control, construction exits, water quality monitoring, and site restoration. Additional work includes installation of signage, fencing, right-of-way markers, and roundabout landscaping, as well as turf establishment through sodding, seeding, and mulching. Construction will require full-depth roadway sections, concrete flatwork, including curb, gutter, and truck apron construction, along with asphalt paving as shown in the plans, and installation of drainage structures including pipes, catch basins, drop inlets, and manholes.
