The City of Lawrenceville is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for Baker Carter
Pressure Improvement Project. Sealed bids will be received by the Lawrenceville Finance Department,
70 S. Clayton Street, Main Level, Room M46A, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046 until 2.00 P.M. local time
on Thursday, August 27, 2026, and then publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after 2:00 P.M.
will not be accepted. Bid envelope should be marked on the outside with Bid Number, name of Bidder, date
and time of opening and utility contractor’s license number. One unbound original and one (1) copy should
be submitted.
The work to be performed by the Contractor consists of but is not limited to the following:

• Baker Carter Dr-Install approximately 5,200 feet of 4-inch Steel.
• Claude Brewer Rd- Remove 4” below ground steel valve
A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Lawrenceville City
Hall located at 70 South Clayton Street, 4th floor City Council Chambers, Lawrenceville, GA. 30046.
Questions regarding bids should be submitted to Kenneth Morris, buyer, CPPB, via email at
chris.duncan@lawrencevillega.org no later than 3:00 p.m. local time, August 14, 2026. Bids are legal and
binding upon the bidder when submitted.
Bids in the case of Corporations not chartered in Georgia, must be accompanied by proper certification
stating that said Corporation is authorized to do business in the State of Georgia.
The project consists of installing approximately 5,200 feet of 4-inch steel pipe on Baker Carter Drive and removing a 4-inch below-ground steel valve on Claude Brewer Road, including installing approximately 6 feet of 4-inch steel main. The contractor must pig all mains, test all steel lines at a minimum of 750 psi for 24 hours, jeep all steel lines according to City standards, coat all weld joints being bored with f1 2-part epoxy, repair all coating defects, provide as-built plans and material lists, restore landscaping to same or better condition, and repair paving to DOT standards. All materials will be supplied by the City of Lawrenceville.
