Design-Build Services
Notice is hereby given that Decatur County Schools shall receive sealed proposals for design-build
services until 11:00 am EST on October 19, 2026 at the Decatur County Board of Education Office
located at 1417 Dothan Road, Bainbridge, GA 39817. Proposals will be in accordance with
O.C.G.A. 36-91-21 and the Request for Proposals (RFP) guidelines. All written questions should
be emailed to Steve Caulder at scaulder@dcboe.com.
The Request for Proposals is available at the Decatur County Board of Education Office located
at 1417 Dothan Road, Bainbridge, GA 39817 or may be viewed online on the Georgia
Procurement Registry.
All submissions must include a proposal with the content and in the format described within the
RFP.
The District reserves the right to terminate this project prior to submissions being received, to
reject any and all proposals, to waive informalities or irregularities in responses to this RFP, and
to be the sole judge of the value and merit of the proposals offered.
The selected company will perform architectural, engineering, and construction services. Work includes: demolition of existing tennis courts and construction of a new Multipurpose Facility with a 6,500+ sq. ft. weight training area, two 700 sq. ft. dressing areas with restrooms, a multi-use room with synthetic turf field (sized for 60-yard football field plus end zone), 25' side interior wall height minimum, 40' interior peak height, and a façade in harmony with surrounding buildings; construction of a Tennis Complex at the site of existing middle school tennis courts incorporating 8 existing courts and adding 8 new courts, covered spectator seating, player seating, a concession/restroom/storage building, and a decorative entrance; resurfacing the track by removing the failing surface and replacing it with high-quality material and addressing drainage issues; and renovation and addition to the Fieldhouse including elevated aesthetic appeal, locker rooms for 120 players, increased shower stalls, desk areas for 12 assistant coaches, conversion of locker room to team meeting space, repurposing existing spaces, replacement/upgrade of mechanical systems, and addition of a nutrition room, physical training room, large equipment room, and a breezeway connecting to the existing fieldhouse. The Design-Builder must coordinate design and construction documents through all required Georgia Department of Education (GADOE) review and approval processes.
