This is a Request for Proposal for Engineering Services. The project will consist of a Sewer, water, or street and drainage improvements in the City of Oglethorpe.
You are invited to submit a proposal to be received at the River Valley Regional Commission office, 710 Front Avenue Columbus, Georgia 31901, no later than 10:00 a.m., August 31, 2026.
A professional services contract will be awarded to whoever is considered to be the most responsible offeror and whose proposal is considered to be the most advantageous. This is a Section 3 Covered Contract and Section 3 Business Concerns are encouraged to apply
The engineer will be responsible to the City of Oglethorpe for providing a preliminary engineering report during the development phase of the CDBG application, meeting the guidelines of the 2027 CDBG applicants manual. If funded, the engineer will be responsible for final design, plans and specifications, obtaining necessary permits and/or easements, preparing bid and contract documents including advertising and bidding procedures, supervising construction and project closeout, as well as NPDES services and other necessary services. The engineer will also be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all BABA documentation (particularly manufacturers' certifications) during construction, which shall be transferred to the recipient.
