OAAA, 2010, Zulu Sign Project Buckley AASF

Replace five airfield signs on Taxiway Zulu. Remove five existing airfield signs, isolation transformers, and one sign base. Return old signs and isolation transformers to the government. Demo one concrete sign foundation and replace with a new 6-inch thick foundation with 6x6 #10 mesh. Re-use existing L-867 can base if undamaged and replace 2-inch PVC conduit from can to sign. Provide and install two L-858(L) Size 3, 1-Module airfield guidance signs and isolation transformers on existing concrete sign bases. Provide and install two L-858(L) Size 3, 3-Module airfield guidance signs and isolation transformers on existing concrete bases. Provide and install one L-858(L) Size 3, 3-Module airfield guidance sign and isolation transformer on a new concrete sign base. Airfield guidance signs shall be ADB/Safegate FAA L-858(L) or similar, size 3, type 2 (3 step), double faced, LED with two tethers (one on each end of sign), power through leg without on/off switch. Sign legend information will be provided; contractor to provide proofs/submittals from sign manufacturer prior to ordering. Airfield Management and Buckley 140th Civil Engineering approval required prior to ordering signs.
