The Town of Hopkinton, acting by its Permanent Building Committee, is seeking Sealed General Bids
from qualified Contractors for the following: Hopkinton Center School Demolition and Abatement,
11 Ash Street, Hopkinton, MA 01748. General Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset
Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of DEMOLITION.
Pre-Bid Conference: A mandatory pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for August 05, 2026 at 10:00 AM at front entrance to former Center School located at 11 Ash Street. Visitors must sign a Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement before entering building.
The scope of work includes building and structure demolition and abatement at the former Hopkinton Center School as indicated on the Drawings and as specified herein including: the historic front portion of Center School (circa 1928) shall be maintained intact and hazardous materials including ACM will be abated; demolition and legal removal and disposal of the two back structures of Center School (circa 1950s and circa 1980s) and hazardous materials including ACM will be abated; removal and legal disposal of demolished materials off site including hazardous materials and ACM; disconnecting, capping or sealing, and removing of all other site utilities as indicated; filling and backfilling of below-grade areas and restoration of the site, as indicated; duration of project: 100 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed to Substantial Completion.
