The work includes clearing and grubbing, selective clearing and thinning, tree trimming, tree protection, air excavation and root pruning, removal of railroad track (rails, ties, and hardware), earth excavation, disposal of treated wood products, environmental health and safety program, and wetland protection. The project is located within an historic railroad right-of-way and involves coordination with the MBTA, including work on, over, under, within or adjacent to railroad property. The contract contains price adjustments for hot mix asphalt, Portland cement mixtures, diesel fuel, gasoline, and steel.
