The City of Quincy, acting through the Department of Natural Resources, is soliciting sealed bids to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete landscape planting and irrigation improvements along designated areas of Newport Avenue in Quincy, Massachusetts.
The project consists of two primary planting areas (fence and wall) with approximate linear measurements of 1,000 feet and 1,300 feet respectively for a total of approximately 2,300 linear feet. The width of the planting areas varies generally from approximately 4 feet to 15 feet and includes a gradual slope toward Newport Avenue. The contractor shall account for existing grades and drainage conditions when preparing planting areas, placing soil, installing plant material, and designing the irrigation system.
