SWRP Dewatering Improvements Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant (SWWTP) uses the digestion process to produce Class B biosolids from the sludge solids that are collected from the wastewater. After the digestion process, biosolids are pumped to dewatering centrifuges where the biosolids are thickened so that the volume of the biosolids being handled by the plant is greatly reduced and so that the thickened biosolids can be economically trucked and used as a fertilizer for an area tree farm or mixed with compost to produce a soil amendment. This project is intended to be delivered using the CMAR method.
