Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) is seeking services for Maritime passenger transportation to and from Long Island. The proposed vessels should have a protective enclosure to safeguard passengers from weather conditions. BPHC is also seeking operational services for barging transportation to and from Long Island. The contractor must provide passenger ferry service with a minimum of two and up to seven roundtrips per week (weather dependent), carrying 4-20 passengers, with departures from Marina Bay Ferry - Squantum Point Park (552 Victory Rd, Quincy, MA 02171) to Long Island Campus and return. The contractor must also provide barge services as needed for vehicles, equipment, snow removal equipment, trash containers, oil truck deliveries (minimum 5,000 gallons capacity), and other items, with a barge capable of transporting at least two vehicles or large pieces of equipment. An optional add-alternate requires supply and installation of a floating dock (minimum 40'L x 15'W x 6'D) and gangway (64 feet total, 2'10" wide) for the contract term. The contractor must be flexible for emergency runs and cancellations, with 24-hour notice for additional services.
