Mason Nursery Soil Fumigation
Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, and chemicals to inject approximately 290 lbs. per acre of a mixture of 80% Methyl Bromide, 20% Chloropicrin gas to a depth of 10" into the soil and cover with a continuous, hot glued, TIF (totally impermeable film) plastic tarp. No subcontractors allowed. Contractor must have all permits and licenses to perform this soil fumigation work in Illinois and comply with all EPA rules. Work to be performed between September 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 weather permitting. Contractor must have expertise, equipment, and staff to fumigate up to 12 acres in an 8 hour day. Mason Nursery staff will have seedbeds prepped and will remove and dispose of plastic tarps after the appropriate waiting period.
