EMERGENCY NOTICE- The Department of Agriculture is using the Emergency Quick Purchase Method by Section 20-30(d) of the Illinois Procurement Code to procure Five (5) Ford Mavericks and Four (4) Ford Escapes for our inspectors who must be able to travel throughout the State of Illinois. Items are available on the spot market or at a discounted price for a limited time so that good business judgment mandates a "quick purchase" immediately to take advantage of the availability and price.
The agency is purchasing five 2026 Ford Mavericks (hybrid with bed covers) and four 2026 Ford Escapes (hybrid, non-plug-in) to replace aging vehicles and equip new inspectors for travel throughout Illinois.
