The Department of Corrections, Division of Health and Rehabilitation Services (department), is statutorily responsible for providing comprehensive behavioral health services to individuals in custody. Due to continued staffing shortages, and in order to provide constitutionally mandated services, the department is soliciting proposals to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to individuals in custody at four (4) department locations.

The offeror shall provide and manage comprehensive mental health services at Anvil Mountain Correctional Center (AMCC) in Nome, Ketchikan Correctional Center (KCC) in Ketchikan, Spring Creek Correctional Center (SCCC) in Seward, and Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center (YKCC) in Bethel. Services include screenings, assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, telehealth services, suicide prevention training, and coordination with facility staff. MHCs shall provide direct care, document in the EHR, conduct segregation rounds, and comply with all department policies and NCCHC standards. Services at SCCC must be delivered in person Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; for the other facilities, a hybrid of in-person and telehealth is required with at least monthly onsite visits.
