Linen and Laundry Services - SAVAHCS

The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, bulk delivery carts, transportation, and facilities necessary to perform contractor-owned/contractor-operated bulk laundry/linen services for SAVAHCS. Services include pick-up and delivery of soiled and clean linens, processing of flatwork (sheets, pillowcases, surgical towels), items on hangers (lab coats, warm-up jackets), tumbled dry and folded items (patient gowns, pajamas, bath towels, surgical scrubs), bulk items (laundry bags, microfiber mops), and items placed in laundry bags (cleaning rags). The contractor must provide an electronic ordering program, a linen rental program, quarterly titration reports, monthly cleaning logs, a separate 96-hour contingency linen supply, and the ability to process approximately 1,350,000 lbs of soiled linen per year. Clean linen delivery and soiled linen pick-up occur between 6:30am and 8:30am Monday through Friday at the Southern Arizona VA Medical Center.
