Title: 2026 Tactical Water Tenders
The U. S. Forest Service (USFS) is soliciting a proposal from qualified vendors for three (3) Tactical Water Tenders, body only configuration, to be installed on Government-furnished 4X2 cab and chassis. Scope includes chassis modifications and preparation, installation of the body, fire pump, 1,500-gallon water tank, warning lights, required graphics package, and all components necessary to deliver a complete operational unit. Apparatus must meet Forest Service national standard specifications, including compliance with NFPA 1900 unless otherwise specified. Proposal shall include delivery of each unit and on-site familiarization training. Vendors shall demonstrate their capability to produce apparatus meeting the requirements of the USFS, summarized in executive form.
The work includes chassis modifications and preparation, installation of the body, fire pump, 1,500-gallon water tank, warning lights, required graphics package, and all components necessary to deliver a complete operational unit. The apparatus must meet Forest Service national standard specifications, including compliance with NFPA 1900 unless otherwise specified. The proposal shall include delivery of each unit and on-site familiarization training. The delivery date of the Tactical Water Tenders and equipment will be within 24 months from the date of receipt of first Government-furnished chassis.
