Gainesville, Florida maintains a water-based fire suppression system in five (5) buildings and eleven (11) trailers. Per VA Directive the entire system must be inspected by NFPA-25 certified inspectors annually/semi-annually.
The contractor must perform semi-annual inspections for the fire suppression system per NFPA-25 (flows and tampers) on the Main Building, Fisher House, Bed Tower, CLC, Building 11, and 11 trailers. Annual work includes fire pump inspection (tested under flow), fire hydrant inspections on 10 hydrants, sprinkler system main drain test in the Main Building, and visual inspection of all fire alarm devices including tamper/flow modules, smoke detectors, heat detectors, horn/strobe devices, booster panels, and all other associated devices and panels.
