The purpose of this requirement is to safely remove five (5) mature hazardous trees identified as dead, hollow, and structurally compromised. These trees are located in close proximity to buildings, pedestrian walkways, hospital signage, parked vehicles, electrical transformers, and other critical infrastructure within the Alvin C. York VAMC at 3400 Lebanon Pike Rd, Murfreesboro TN 37129. Due to the deteriorated condition of the trees and their location within occupied and high-traffic areas, immediate removal is required to eliminate potential safety hazards and prevent damage to government property and infrastructure.
The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, safety controls, and disposal services necessary to safely remove five (5) mature hazardous trees approximately 75–80 feet in height. Work includes assessment and verification of hazardous tree conditions, safe cutting/dismantling/removal of trees, removal of all hazardous limbs, branches, stumps, and associated debris, protection of surrounding buildings/utilities/sidewalks/signage/vehicles/landscaping/infrastructure, use of rigging/cranes/bucket trucks/climbing equipment as necessary, complete cleanup of all affected work areas, proper hauling and disposal of all tree material/debris/waste in accordance with federal/state/local regulations, and restoration of disturbed areas caused by removal operations. Work shall be performed during weekends, after normal duty hours, or other approved low-traffic periods as coordinated with the COR to minimize disruption to hospital operations.
