The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Solicitation Notice for Sediment Removal, Black Rock Lake, Thomaston, CT.
THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to remove sediment and clear culverts within Black Rock Lake. Approximately 1,600 cubic yards (yd3) of material shall be removed and transported by the Contractor to an upland location within the Black Rock Lake property, for storage on Government property.

This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238910 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 Million.
ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to remove approximately 1,600 cubic yards of sediment from Black Rock Lake and transport it to an upland location within the Black Rock Lake property for storage on Government property. The work includes removal of sediment from two box culverts, installation of erosion and sediment controls in accordance with DOT standards, and spreading and seeding the sediment at the storage site. Mobilization and staging of heavy equipment will be required. The work shall be completed no later than 210 days from Notice to Proceed, with sediment removal from the lake to be completed within 14 days of initial drawdown.
