The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Boulder Campus, intends to solicit a firm-fixed-price contract for the removal and replacement of the existing standby emergency generator and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) serving Building 4. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to remove the existing generator and ATS, furnish and install a new standby emergency generator (with natural gas and diesel options) and compatible ATS, perform all associated electrical modifications, conduit and wiring installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation in accordance with the Statement of Work, applicable codes and standards, including NIST Site Standards.

The contractor shall remove the existing standby emergency generator (Onan Model 11-5GNAB-90901A) and Automatic Transfer Switch (Onan Model OT 40), furnish and install a new standby emergency generator (with natural gas and diesel options) and compatible ATS, perform all associated electrical modifications, conduit and wiring installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation in accordance with the Statement of Work, applicable codes and standards, including NIST Site Standards. The contractor must provide two generator options for Government selection, account for altitude derating, and ensure a minimum output of 12 kW, 208V, three-phase, and 40 amps. The contractor shall also perform EPSS acceptance testing in accordance with NFPA 110 and provide as-built drawings, manuals, and warranty documentation.
