the purchase and removal of the Government-owned property listed in this notice to
bidders, will be received until the time, date, and at the place indicated below, and
then publicly opened.

The contractor must purchase and remove all designated pine and hardwood timber from three tracts: Clear Springs ATV 1 (284 acres, estimated 6,565 tons), Thompson Creek West (119 acres, estimated 2,829 tons), and Milam Creek South (129 acres, estimated 2,792 tons). Work includes commercial thinning of overstocked mixed pine and hardwood stands, felling only trees marked with blue paint, limbing and topping as approved, treating excessive scarring of residual trees, lopping tops within 150 feet of public roads, limiting skidder width to 10 feet, using no more than 2 loaders per logging deck, and following designated trucking routes. The contractor must comply with Texas A&M Forest Service Best Management Practices, protect streams and cultural resources, and restore the site upon completion.
