RIDGES BASIN GATE HYDRAULICS MOD

The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, mobilization and demobilization to replace portions of two existing 1.5-inch diameter Schedule 80 steel hydraulic pipes with flexible hydraulic hoses. Work includes isolating the hydraulic power unit and cylinder, draining and disposing of existing hydraulic fluid, cutting and removing pipe sections, welding four adapter fittings, installing two 1.5-inch inner diameter hydraulic hoses designed to allow 12 inches of movement, installing hose supports, refilling the system with new ISO VG-46 biodegradable hydraulic fluid, circulating and filtering the fluid, testing the hoses and fittings, coating steel piping, and providing one extra assembled hose. The contractor must also submit a Safety Plan, provide submittals for approval, and coordinate with Reclamation and the Animas La Plata Operation Maintenance and Replacement Association.
