BEDELL FLAT MAST/MOW FY27

The contractor will perform mechanical mastication/mowing on 200 acres of grass and shrubs within two designated treatment units north of Reno, Washoe County, Nevada, along the Bedell Flat RD. The project consists of two zones: Zone 1 (0-40 feet from the road) requires 100% clearing/mowing down to approximately 1 foot; Zone 2 (40-140 feet from the road) requires 50% brush reduction mowed down to approximately 1 foot. The contractor must use equipment with a minimum of 110 horsepower, rubber tired or rubber tracked, equipped with a horizontal rotor mastication head or mowing deck, and free of fluid leaks. The contractor must provide and maintain warning signs, comply with fire prevention/suppression requirements including spark arresters and fire extinguishers, and follow standard operating procedures for soil stability, weed control, and cultural resource protection.
