Maintenance Dredging of New York Harbor, Sandy Hook Federal Navigation Channel

The contractor will perform maintenance dredging of New York Harbor, Sandy Hook Channel, New Jersey, removing material (except ledge rock) to a depth of -35 feet mean lower low water (MLLW) plus 2 feet allowable overdepth. The estimated quantity is 177,130 cubic yards. Dredged material will be transported and placed at the Sea Bright Offshore Borrow Area (SBOBA). The contract also includes mobilization and demobilization, a Black Box Monitoring Unit, and Northeastern Beach Tiger Beetles survey and translocation efforts. The contractor must comply with all conditions of the NJDEP Water Quality Certificate and National Park Service Special Use Permit, including seasonal restrictions on in-water work from March 1 through June 30.
