This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation No. 75H70726Q00075 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Hospital Linen and Laundry Services for the Mescalero Indian Health Center located in Mescalero, NM.
This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.

(viii) This is a total Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) Set-Aside, with a cascading set-aside. Under the Buy Indian Act 25 U.S.C. 47, through the transfer of authority from the Department of Interior to HHS, offers will be solicited from Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (see HHSAR Subpart 326.6) that are also small business concerns. If there is not enough competition and/or reasonably priced offers received from the ISBEE set-aside, then quotes will be considered for award to other small business concerns. The contractor shall provide all linen, welcome mats, labor, equipment, tools, materials, parts, supplies, and supervision necessary to perform weekly pickup and delivery, and cleaning/laundering of specified medical and housekeeping linens. The contractor will replace welcome mats biweekly, make weekly pickup of dirty laundry and weekly delivery of clean laundry to Mescalero Service Unit, separately wash mop heads and microfiber wet mops classified as rough and contaminated, assure all linen items marked as Mescalero Service Unit are delivered back, wash (sanitize), press (if needed) and package all laundry items received. Laundering cycles consist of flush, main wash, bleaching, rinsing, and souring. Cleaned fabrics are then dried, pressed as needed, and prepared for distribution. All soaps and detergents used will function to suspend soils and exhibit some microbiocidal properties. Hot water temperature of at least 160F (71 C) for a minimum of 25 minutes is commonly recommended for hot-water washing. The use of chloride bleach is recommended when allowed. Drop Off and Pickup Location is the Mescalero Service Unit Linen Room, every Monday, with no drop-offs and pickups on federally recognized holidays.
