This service contract is for Firm Fixed Price (FFP) preventive maintenance (PM) for corrective maintenance (CM) to government owned Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and atmospheric gas monitoring equipment located at the Coatesville VA Medical Center at Bldg. 12, while complying with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requirements, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
The contractor shall provide all necessary services to inspect, test, maintain, and document SCBA, Supplied Air Respirators (SAR), Air Carts, Breathing Air Compressors, and atmospheric monitors. Services include annual maintenance on Scott Safety SCBA equipment (14 X3 SCBA Air Packs, 14 X3 SCBA Regulators, 4 SKA-AT Packs, 1 Air Cart, 12 air hoses, 18 face masks, and certification of 23 breathing air cylinders); quarterly testing and calibration of a Scott Simple Air breathing air compressor including CO calibration and breathing air test per NFPA 1989; monthly calibration of 6 atmospheric gas meters (5 BW Gas Alert Quattro and 1 MSA Altair 4XR BT); annual breathing air compressor service including cartridge replacement and oil change; and annual regulator gas calibration. The contractor must also provide extra calibration gas for the fire department's use between monthly visits.
