Rifle (RFL) Substation Communications Tower

The contractor shall remove one substation overhead ground wire and hardware; cut a hole in the existing service building for waveguide and coaxial cables; install a redwood frame for a waveguide entry port; construct foundations for a new communications tower and waveguide supports; erect a GFE 120-foot communications tower (coordinating with FAA); install GFE antennas, tiebacks, waveguides, mounting hardware, waveguide boots and connectors, and waveguide grounding kits; erect waveguide bridge support columns, waveguide bridge, and trapeze kit waveguide hangers; connect all legs of the tower, waveguide support columns, and climbing ladder to the substation ground mat; and backfill excavations and repair and restore gravel surfacing. The work also includes concrete foundations (one L1, four WG, one T1, one T2, one T3), miscellaneous sitework, associated electrical equipment and material, and removal of existing outdoor electrical equipment and material.
