This requirement is to procure Engineer-Furnish-Install-and-Test (EFI&T) services for the Joint Base Lewis-McChord
telecommunications infrastructure, which specifically requires the integration of the brand name TC Communications
JumboSwitch equipment to ensure compatibility. The infrastructure will connect critical facilities including the Air Traffic Control
(ATC) Tower, ILS, GATR, Base Ops, and Weather Stations.
This is a new requirement intended to replace failing, legacy infrastructure. While this requirement is primarily for installation
services, the execution requires the integration of specific brand name equipment (TC Communications JumboSwitch) to
maintain compatibility with existing infrastructure.
The contractor must provide Engineer-Furnish-Install-and-Test (EFI&T) services to replace failing legacy copper and 'channel bank' fiber transport equipment at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The work includes the integration of brand name TC Communications TC8000 series fiber optic transport and TC3800 series JumboSwitch equipment, as well as the installation of outside plant (OSP) fiber optic cables, to connect critical facilities including the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower, ILS, GATR, Base Ops, and Weather Stations. The contract is firm-fixed-price and includes turn-key installation services, testing, and integration.
