The purpose of this combined synopsis and solicitation is for the purchase of Quantum Demonstration/Experiment System to include Time Correlation / Time Tagging (TCSPC) System and Fast Single Photon Detector IAW Salient Characteristics (Attachment 1) for the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) Physics Department and the Laser and Optics Research Center (LORC).

The contractor must supply a quantum demonstration/experiment system that is an integrated experimental platform for quantum information science and quantum optics, modular, scalable, and reconfigurable, with commercially supported laboratory-grade instrumentation. The system must include multiple single photon detectors with high quantum efficiency in visible and near-infrared, low dark count rates, and sub-nanosecond timing resolution; high-resolution time tagging or TCSPC electronics capable of multi-channel coincidence detection, picosecond-level timing precision, and high sustained count rates; and must support characterization of polarization-entangled photon pairs via SPDC, enabling coincidence counting, entanglement correlation measurements, and entanglement swapping experiments.
