This Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO), as contemplated in 10 U.S.C. 3458 and DFARS Subpart 212.70 – Defense Commercial Solutions Opening, is a competitive solicitation of proposals focused on technologies to meet the Air Force Technical Application Center's (AFTAC) mission.
AFTAC is looking for new capabilities in nuclear treaty monitoring, advanced detection technologies to support the counter-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and other applied technologies.
AFTAC seeks the best approaches to meet the technology objectives within the capability areas listed below. Detailed topics associated with each capability area appear in Attachment 6.

This is a follow-on solicitation to AFTAC_CSO_2023
AFTAC seeks proposals in eight capability areas: Geophysics and Seismology (AFTAC-001), Atmosphere and Space (AFTAC-002), Directed Energy Weapon (AFTAC-003), Nuclear and Nuclear-Related Materials Analysis (AFTAC-004), Materials Modeling and Analysis (AFTAC-005), Enterprise-Wide Integration and Architecture Modernization (AFTAC-006), Enterprise Asset and Lifecycle Management Improvements (AFTAC-007), and High Performance and Secure Cloud Computing and Dev Ops Solutions for Data Ingestion, Exploitation, and Dissemination (AFTAC-008). The CSO is a two-phase process: Phase I requires a Quad Chart and White Paper; Phase II is by invitation only and requires a full technical and price proposal. Awards may be in the form of contracts or other transactions. The Government may fund all, some, one, or none of the proposals.
