The contractor shall furnish lab services to the Lt. Col Luke Weathers Jr Medical Center (VAMC), covering the range of onsite patient care services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility. The contractor shall provide sixteen (16) key personnel: one (1) Cytopreparation Technician, two (2) ASCP/AMT Certified Medical Technologists, one (1) Pathologists Assistant, eleven (11) Phlebotomists/Medical Technicians, and one (1) Medical Transcriptionist. Services include high-complexity testing, venipuncture, specimen processing, cytopreparation, pathology assistance, and medical transcription. The contractor must provide services on an as-needed basis, with a 30-day advance notice for medical technologist services. The contractor is responsible for supervising daily services, and the VAMC Memphis Chief of P&LMS will have final technical and administrative direction.
