The base bid includes fabrication of two structural steel bulkheads; removal and disposal of low flow inlet gate and low flow gate at the north wet well; construction and installation of ductile cast iron low flow inlet and low flow gates and appurtenances in the north wet well; and removal and replacement of all angle H frames and structural bolts connecting H frame members and H frames to the trash rack in both north and south wet wells. Option work includes removal and disposal of low flow inlet gate at the south wet well and construction and installation of ductile cast iron low flow inlet gate and low flow gates and appurtenances at the south wet well; removal and disposal of six wet well inlet gates and appurtenances at the north and south wet wells; and procurement and installation of six ductile cast iron inlet gates and appurtenances at the north and south wet wells. The contractor must provide two new bulkheads fabricated from ASTM A709 steel, and may utilize portable cranes. The contractor is only permitted to work on one gate at a time and must complete acceptance trial operation for each gate before starting the next.
