658-24-102 Replace Building 2 AHUs

The contractor shall replace Building 2 Air Handler Units (AHUs) at the Salem VA Medical Center. The work includes demolition of existing AHUs 2-AHU-9 and 2-AHU-10, including controls, external components, ductwork, piping, terminal units, and exhaust/relief air fans. New work includes installation of new AHUs, external components (humidifiers, final filters, return air fans), glycol energy recovery loops and pumps, exhaust air fans, terminal units, branch ductwork, piping, DDC controls, thermostats, and accessories. The project also includes electrical work (lighting, power, fire alarm modifications), fire suppression modifications, plumbing, architectural finishes (ceiling systems, painting), and asbestos/hazardous materials abatement. The work is phased to maintain hospital operations 24/7, with temporary AHUs provided during construction. The contractor must also provide a CPM schedule, as-built drawings, photographic documentation, and warranty management.
